  • Greg Etafia, Moroka Swallows, March 2016.Gallo

    Greg Etafia - 37 years - 5 months - 28 days

    The former Nigeria international came out of retirement prior to the start of the current season and became one of Highlands Park's four first-team goalkeepers.

    Etafia arrived in South Africa in 2003 and joined Moroka Swallows, where he spent 12 years before he retired in 2015 with the club having been relegated from the PSL.

    Thabiso Semenya - 37 years - 6 months - 11 days

    The veteran right-back recently rejoined Polokwane City after being clubless for six months having left Baroka FC at the end of the last season.

    Semenya made his debut in the PSL during the 2011/12 season while playing for Platinum Stars and he left the now-defunct club for Polokwane in 2016.

    Reneilwe Letsholonyane - 37 years - 9 months - 19 days

    The accomplished midfielder made his PSL debut during the 2002/03 season while playing for Hellenic, before moving to lower division side Dangerous Darkies in the following campaign.

    Letsholonyane returned to the top flight with Jomo Cosmos in 2006 and he has since played for Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United, and he is now with Highlands Park.

    Jabulani Maluleke -38 years - 0 months - 11 days

    The hard-working midfielder made his PSL debut back in the 2002/2003 season while on the books of Dynamos and he then played in the lower divisions for Dangerous Darkies.

    Maluleke made his return to the top-flight in 2005 when he joined Black Leopards and has gone on to play for SuperSport United and now Polokwane City.

    Moeneeb Josephs - 39 years - 10 months  - 9 days

    The veteran goalkeeper is the longest-serving player in the PSL having made his debut in the competition in 1997 while on the books of Cape Town Spurs who later merged with Seven Stars to establish Ajax Cape Town.

    Josephs has since had two spells with Bidvest Wits and a successful stint with Orlando Pirates and he is currently with AmaZulu FC, where he is serving as a third-choice goalkeeper and assistant coach.
