    The Cityzens registered their 13th consecutive win in the Women's Super League on Sunday as they thrashed West Ham 5-0. City racked up a three-goal lead in the first half courtesy of a brace by star forward Khadija Shaw and a strike from Leila Ouahabi. Laura Blindkilde then scored a fourth goal in the 81st minute before Jess Park netted the fifth with a brilliant effort. The English forward made a solo run down the middle from the centre circle before finding the back of the net with a strike from the edge of the box.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    The win over the Hammers helped City to retain their position at the top of the WSL table as they now enjoy a three-point lead over the Blues. The match also saw their star Jamaican striker Khadija Shaw achieving a unique feat as she became the first-ever player in the league's history to have a goal involvement in 10 consecutive matches.
