THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 27-year-old midfielder, who has 37 senior caps to his name, is eager to find himself a new club after spending several weeks stuck on the sidelines. Morrell admits that the opportunity to join an ambitious project at SToK Racecourse would hold obvious appeal to him.
WHAT MORRELL SAID
Morrell has told the Feast of Football podcast from BBC Sport: "Wrexham is obviously an exciting club at the minute. I think in the Football League there are not many more exciting projects than Wrexham, and to play for a Welsh club is something that I would love to do at some point as well.
"But to be fair I don’t think that they need much help at the minute, so maybe they are not in the market for a midfielder. But if they were, it would definitely be something that I would be interested in."
