  • WHAT GIO REYNA SAID

Reyna shared some photographs from his childhood where he can be seen posing with his brother with a caption that read: "In honor of what would be my dear big brother Jack’s 25th birthday, we’re celebrating his life by donating to the foundation that cared for our family and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. For over 28 years, Making Headway has dedicated itself passionately to the mission of providing Care, Comfort, & a Cure to families impacted by a childhood brain or spinal cord tumor. The foundation remains by our side and continues to provide invaluable support to many other families who are navigating challenging times. We ask that you join us in making a donation to Making Headway because any contribution will serve as a meaningful tribute to Jack’s spirit and the enduring impact he had on all of us. THE BIGGER PICTURE

Reyna grew up idolising his eldest sibling who himself was a soccer player and represented New York-based amateur soccer club NYSC. In an interview with Sports Illustrated in 2018, their mother Danielle revealed how Jack's death had completely broken the USMNT player and how he lost hope of becoming a professional soccer player.
