The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is certainly doing his bit for that cause this season. Despite now being 39 years of age, evergreen Ronaldo has registered 36 goals in the current campaign – with some of those forming part of his world-leading haul of 54 for club and country in 2023.

Ronaldo is showing no sign of slowing down and continues to wear his heart on his sleeve – which can get him into trouble at times and earn unwelcome suspensions. Passion is, however, what CR7 is all about and he is not about to change his ways.

Al-Nassr would not want him to, with the Saudi outfit paying homage to their talismanic captain on social media. His latest appearance saw him register another match-winning goal, but routes to trophy triumphs have been closed off over recent weeks.

Ronaldo remains in the hunt for Saudi Super Cup and King Cup of Champions glory, with the five-time Champions League winner determined to savour tangible success in 2024 having already taken in an Arab Club Champions Cup triumph during his time in the Middle East.
