The Netherlands attacker, currently playing for Corinthians in Brazil, was pulled over by police for reckless driving shortly after 5:30 a.m on August 6 last year, RMC Sport reports.

The 30-year-old was found to have had an alcohol level of 1.01 mg per litre of exhaled air, or more than 2g of alcohol per litre of blood. The former Manchester United and Barcelona winger was not present as a court in Monaco handed down a suspended sentence, a €2,000 fine and a two-year ban from driving in the principality.
