The Cityzens star delivered yet another poor performance in a big game against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final fixture at Santiago Bernabeu. At half-time when Haaland was walking off the pitch, the referee accidentally smacked the striker in the face while he was trying to explain something to Dani Carvajal.

The Norwegian took 20 touches during the match but had only one shot on target. He failed to score or assist in the six-goal thriller and did not complete a single dribble. Los Blancos' Antonio Rudiger did a commendable job in keeping the Man City danger man under lock and key.

Pep Guardiola's side will be back in action in the Premier League during the weekend as they take Luton Town at home on Saturday, before the second leg against Real next week.
