Erik ten Hag bizarrely blames Arsenal refereeing decisions for Man Utd struggles after dramatically claiming Liverpool's scalp in FA Cup classic

Manchester United picked up an incredible win in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday as they edged out rivals Liverpool 4-3. It was a remarkable achievement for Ten Hag's side who have struggled to find consistency in their performances until now and the Dutch manager believes the win against the Reds could prove to be a turning point for the club in the current season.

The Red Devils boss brought up the refereeing blunders from their Arsenal clash earlier in the season as he claimed that his team did not have the right moment until now to stage a comeback.

Speaking to reporters, Ten Hag said, "Could be but we missed so many opportunities. For instance, at Arsenal, in the fourth game of the season, in the 87th minute, we should have had a penalty on Rasmus Hojlund. Then we scored with Garnacho, disallowed and then we conceded a goal which should always have been disallowed. Such moments help you. The match also saw out-of-form Antony scoring only his second goal of the season as he netted the equaliser for his side in the 87th minute. Under fire Marcus Rashford also got his name on the scoresheet as he scored his team's third goal after the Reds restored their lead at the start of extra time. Amad Diallo eventually scored the winning goal to seal a memorable win for United.

The Premier League giants will be back in action after the international break as they take on Brentford in a league clash on March 31.
