WHAT HAPPENED?
According to BILD, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl held talks with the team management over the possibility of appointing Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag as their next head coach, however, the board have now come to the conclusion that they are no longer interested in the Dutchman.

Earlier this week ESPN reported that Ten Hag had informed the Bundesliga club that his preference is to remain at Old Trafford until the end of the 2024/25 season when his contract with the Premier League giants expires.

WHAT NEXT FOR ERIK TEN HAG?
For now, the 54-year-old remains focused on ending the current campaign on a high as United look to win their maiden trophy of the season on May 25 when they take on rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final. The Red Devils are not expected to make a decision on his future until after their FA Cup final meeting with Manchester City.
