  • WHAT JORDAN PICKFORD SAID

On top of "mixing up" players' dress code before and after games, the 30-year-old suggested doing away with fouls in matches. The stopper also said his ideal VIP guest to an Everton game would be Denzel Washington as he is his favourite actor.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Football has seen plenty of rule changes over the years, such as the introduction of red and yellow cards, the scrapping of the back-pass rule, and more. More technology has been ushered into the sport, with VAR the most noteworthy and disruptive one in recent years, but this Pickford proposal - tongue in cheek or not - is unlikely to see the light of day.
