Endrick to Southampton?! Real Madrid's plans for Brazilian wonderkid clarified after shock link to Premier League strugglers

Brazilian wonderkid Endrick joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras in the summer for a reported mammoth fee of €60 million (£50.7m/$65.2m). However, the 18-year-old has not received the level of game time that he would have hoped for, playing a total of 122 minutes in the first three months of the season. As such, Spanish publication SPORT reported that Southampton were looking to sign the Brazilian on loan in January amid their Premier League struggles.

However, the reports of the possible loan move have been refuted by Fabrizio Romano, who has claimed that Real Madrid have absolutely no plans to let Endrick leave the club this January on loan.

Endrick scored on both his La Liga and Champions League debuts for Real Madrid but has failed to find the net in his past five appearances for Carlo Ancelotti's side. The Brazilian has only made one start for the club so far, when he started in Los Blancos' 1-0 loss to Lille in the Champions League.

The Brazilian's involvement levels with Real Madrid remain uncertain as Ancelotti's side have struggled for consistent form. It remains to be seen if Endrick is afforded minutes in Los Blancos' next clash against Leganes on Sunday, November 24.
