  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Cassano, who severed ties with Real Madrid a year before Ronaldo arrived at Santiago Bernabeu in 2009, recently launched a verbal tirade against the Portugal legend, claiming that he "does not know how to play football". The Italian's bizarre statement came just days after Ronaldo reached 900 career goals for club and country.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

While the Al-Nassr star is yet to respond to the unprovoked attack from Cassano, his sister Elma Aveiro slammed the ex-Italy international while calling him a 'ball boy'. In the past, Aveiro has come to her brother's defence on multiple occasions and has even mocked his fierce rival Lionel Messi on social media.

  • WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

On her Instagram, Ronaldo's sister wrote: "One wakes up to these things. I don’t know this poor guy. It doesn’t matter, but just one thing for him, he doesn’t know how to score 900 goals. Imagine if he did. They say he was a footballer. I think they’re wrong, he was certainly a ball boy."
