Competition for Cristiano Ronaldo?! CR7's fiancee Georgina Rodriguez follows in his footsteps by launching her own YouTube channel

The new 'Georgina Gio' YouTube channel was launched on Monday afternoon, promoted on Instagram to her 71.2 million followers there. Ronaldo, who has 665 million Instagram followers, also shared it to his story on the platform for an extra push.

The initial launch came with three videos, one a welcome teaser, another titled Having fun with Cris: get to know us better, and a third that is a vlog-style behind the scenes look at a recent trip to Venice. Within the first few hours, the channel had amassed just over 5,000 subscribers.

Georgina, who has been engaged to Ronaldo since August 2025 but in a relationship with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for nine years, has teased that her YouTube channel will offer fashion, business and lifestyle content. Her welcome post also revealed plans to showcase her family life, likely meaning that Ronaldo and the children will additionally be featuring.

When Ronaldo stepped into the YouTube space in 2024 with UR Cristiano, his channel broke records. Within 90 minutes, the length of a football match, he had one million subscribers, far outstripping his fiancee's relatively measly tally so far. By the end of day one, the subscriber count had climbed rapidly to 10 million, and up to 15 million after 24 hours.

As of October 2025, it has 76.7 million subscribers. That pales into insignificance compared to MrBeast, which is the most popular channel on all of YouTube with 443 million subscribers, but UR Cristiano still sits an impressive 32nd on the overall list.

Since Georgina announced news of the engagement on Instagram, a post which garnered just shy of 19 million likes, no further updates about the eventual wedding have been revealed.

It remains to be seen when the ceremony could happen, with minimal opportunity during the ongoing football season and the 2026 World Cup coming in June. It could feasibly be after the World Cup is over, unless the plan is for 2027 instead.

Where is another question, with the family based in Saudi Arabia for Ronaldo's career, but Georgina hailing from Argentina, the couple sharing a history together in Madrid, and Ronaldo born and raised on the Portuguese island of Madeira. There could even be multiple celebrations.
