Chelsea's Sam Kerr reveals how she proposed to USWNT star Kristie Mewis in heart-warming social media photos

The Chelsea and Australia forward posted three photos on Instagram which beautifully captured the moments from her engagement with the U.S. women's national team and Gotham FC star Mewis back in September. The news of their engagement came out earlier this month when Mewis revealed it to People.

The couple's romance rumours first ignited during the Tokyo Olympics 2020, and the confirmation of their relationship came shortly after when Matildas legend Kerr posted a heartfelt photo of them kissing on Instagram. Since then, the couple has openly shared their love on social media despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship.

Mewis recently visited Stamford Bridge to watch her fiancee Kerr live in action for Chelsea in the Women's Super League against Liverpool.

Kerr posted some photos from her engagement with Mewis on her Instagram with the caption, "September 1st, 2023."

Mewis ended the season on a high as Gotham City bagged the NWSL 2023 title. The club toasted the pair's engagement on X on Tuesday. Kerr, on the other hand, will be next seen in action for Emma Hayes' Chelsea side in the Women's Champions League against Paris FC on Thursday.
