Chelsea won WSL title ahead of Man City
Kerr thanked Arsenal's Blackstenius for her role in the triumph
Gunners forward's contribution vs City proved decisive
WHAT HAPPENED?
Gareth Taylor's Manchester City led the WSL title race until the penultimate matchday when they took on Arsenal. Until the 89th minute of that match, it seemed that City would take that title lead into the last matchday as well before a three-minute brace from Blackstenius turned the game around and gave the Gunners a 2-1 win. On the larger scheme, it gave Chelsea the lead in the league on goal difference. On the last matchday, Chelsea's 6-0 win against Manchester United meant City faltered to Chelsea due to goal difference.
