    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Hampton's resolute display means Chelsea are heading to their fifth consecutive Conti Cup final, where they were play last years finalists Arsenal in what will be an exact tournament rematch. For Hampton, her performance will be the first steps in her battle to usurp Mary Earps as Lionesses No.1. Chelsea fans at the Joie Stadium on Thursday certainly felt that way, as they could be heard singing "England's No.1, England's England's No.1" in the direction of their goalkeeper.

    WHAT NEXT FOR CHELSEA?

While Bright remains on the sidelines, Hampton will no doubt be between the sticks when Chelsea take on Everton in the FA Women's Cup on Sunday. Emma Hayes is still in with a shot of winning a near-unprecedented quadruple in her last season before leaving to manage the USWNT.
