    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Earlier in the day, Arsenal did Chelsea a huge favour as they beat Manchester City 2-1. Now with a thumping win over Bristol, Emma Hayes' side are right back in the title race and will now aim to go all the way by winning their remaining matches.

Macario joined the west London club last summer but could only make her debut in March 2024 after remaining out of action for nearly two years due to an ACL injury. Despite missing the majority of the season, Macario has proved herself to be a perfect signing for Chelsea considering the impact she has had in a very short period of time.
