    WHAT HAPPENED?

The 30-year-old shot-stopper, who was given the armband for the UEFA Nations League clash, won't want to watch back Lineth Beerensteyn's second goal of the first half, after spooning the ball into her own net following a fairly tame shot on goal. The 27-year-old Juventus forward opened the scoring in the 12th minute, before doubling her tally in the 35th, thanks to the error from Earps.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Sarina Weigman's side have endured a difficult start to the Nations League, with just six points recorded across their opening five games in Group 1. Their current opponents Netherlands sit at the top of the standings with 12 points, with Belgium in second on eight. Both sides have already beaten the Three Lions back in October and September.
