The case for a high-scoring match

Goals should be forthcoming in Novgorod. Panama held firm until half-time against Belgium but struggled badly in the second 45 minutes. Romelu Lukaku plundered two goals and Harry Kane could be set to follow suit considering how effective he proved to be in his first World Cup appearance.

Panama racked up five yellow cards for their aggressive style in their opening Group H clash and that’s unlikely to chance for their meeting with England. That should mean plenty more set pieces opportunities and with the introduction of VAR, the number of penalties being given has risen markedly compared to previous tournaments.

While they didn't get on the scoresheet against Roberto Martinez's men, Panama did create some presentable opportunities and with a need to push forward this should be another open game. With the likes of Raheem Sterling and Jesse Lingard offering plenty of pace on the counter attack, it would be no surprise to see plenty more goalmouth action.

Given how many chances England created in their opening match another big score line could be on the cards once more so this bet should make plenty of appeal, especially at the enhanced odds of 5/1 (6.0) available with dabblebet.
