Waruru widens gap in race for KPL Golden boot

Ulinzi Stars striker Stephen Waruru has taken a commanding lead in the race for Golden Boot as the Kenyan Premier League takes a two week break.

Waruru scored his ninth and 10th goals of the season in Ulinzi’s 2-2 draw against Gor Mahia in Kisumu last Sunday. The 26 year-old is now four goals ahead of Nakumatt striker Kepha Aswani, who is second with six. Aswani did not find the net over the weekend despite his side edging out Sofapaka 2-1 at Ruaraka grounds.
