Vihiga United tactician Mike Mururi is hopeful of a good result against Gor Mahia on Wednesday.

The Western-based side managed to escape with a narrow 1-0 win against Posta Rangers on Saturday, and they have even a tougher outing against the champions.

Mururi says the team is not yet safe and that they will work even harder to ensure the season ends on a higher note. “Gor Mahia match will definitely be a tougher outing as compared to the game against Rangers meaning there will be no room for mistakes. Gor Mahia is a good side with experienced players, they will want to win this match because they have not been doing well of late.

“Well, my players are ready for the match and will be going for early chances, if we do get early goals I think it will be good for us,” Mururi told Goal.

Vihiga United is currently fifteenth on the log with thirty-four points.
