The defender killed his side's chances of getting anything from their neighbours when he tried to dodge a bouncing ball, only to knock over the line

When he stepped out onto the field for his side's derby against Shanghai SIPG, Shanghai Shenhua defender Li Yunqiu would have had his hopes on having a decisive role.

Indeed he did! Just not in the way he would have imagined.

His side trailed 2-1 in injury time, but SIPG appeared to have passed up a chance when Oscar's shot smacked the bar. The danger was not over, though, as it bounced towards Li, who failed to control or even dodge it and sent it bouncing over the line.
