Victor Osimhen nets brace in Wolfsburg’s 8-0 victory

The Nigeria international was one of the protagonists as the Wolves breezed past a selected side in a friendly game

Victor Osimhen netted a brace as Wolfsburg recorded an 8-0 win over a selected side from the Veltins region on Saturday.

It was the German topflight side’s first pre-season game, and they showed superiority at the Flutmulde Stadium, Gifford.

Daniel Didavi’s hat-trick, Landry Dimata and Osimhen’s brace plus Marvin Stefaniak’s effort handed Andries Jonker’s men a massive win.

The Nigeria international came off the bench to power in his side’s seventh goal of the game after ghosting past three defenders.

He capped a fine display with his second of the encounter after nodding in a cross from Gian-Luca Itter.

Wolfsburg meet Swiss second division side Rapperswil-Jona in their next pre-season game on Tuesday.
