Ulinzi Stars are out of the competition after losing 1-0 to Sony Sugar at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru

Kariobangi Sharks progressed to the next round of GOtv Shield after downing Kenpoly 2-0 at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos on Saturday.

The in form team needed goals from Gambian striker Ebrimmah Sanneh and Steven Odhiambo to seal their place in the next phase. It could have been worse for Kenpoly but William Muluya's charges were wasteful in front of goal.

At Mumias Complex, Zetech University's run came to an end after going down to another premier league side Kakamega Homeboyz. The visitors put a good show against the experienced opponents, unfortunately they could not get past them.

The Mike Mururi coached side needed a Francis Nambute strike in the 66th minute to book their place in the next round. Last year's finalists Ulinzi Stars are out of the competition after losing 1-0 to Sony Sugar at Afraha Stadium, Nakuru.
