Kenyan Premier League have confirmed that two local channels will transmit the season’s opening matches from Nakuru this weekend.

KPL CEO Jack Oguda has confirmed to Goal that KTN have clinched the rights to air the first match pitting Ulinzi Stars against Zoo Kericho at Afraha Stadium.

However, the second match involving AFC Leopards and Posta Rangers is yet to get a channel. “This is a non-exclusive exercise and so far KTN have been handed the rights to transmit live Ulinzi Stars v Zoo Kericho as from 2pm.

“We are still negotiating with other local channels because it is a non-exclusive process. We have two other channels that are fighting for that slot and this will be made official before the end of today (Friday).”
