The Fijian flyer looks set to depart the A-League

He's only just become Wellington Phoenix's all-time top scorer, but Roy Krishna's time at the club appears to be nearing an end with the Fijian striker keen on securing a move away.

The Covert Agent can reveal Krishna has expressed interest in departing the Nix with his preference being a move to Asia in either the Chinese Super League or J-League.

Krishna is off-contract at the end of the season and Wellington could look to cash in on their star player in January rather than let him go for free with the club still on the lookout for a marquee attacker.

Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids, coached by former All Whites coach Anthony Hudson, were keen to sign Krishna over the off-season but Wellington were unwilling to listen to offers for their main man at the time.

The 31 year old has been with the Phoenix since 2014 and became the club's all-time leading goal scorer on December 2 this year after bagging his 34th goal.

Prior to joining Wellington, Krishna caught the eye with NZFC side Waitakere United, where he scored 55 goals across 75 appearances.

Krishna is a regular for the Fijian national team and scored their first ever Olympic goal in 2016 against Mexico.

The striker has scored twice this season for the Nix, who sit ninth with one win to their name.
