Swansea City star Andre Ayew eyeing a positive outcome against Manchester City

The Swansea City attacker previews Sunday's league visit to The Citizens

According to Andre Ayew, Swansea City are looking to pull an upset when they play away to Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday.

Just one place above the relegation zone, Carlos Carvalhal's outfit are in dire need of three points to consolidate their spot on the league table.

Ayew recognizes the tough task ahead, amid hopes of an unlikely surprise at Etihad Stadium against the Citizens, who were last Sunday confirmed winners of the topflight with four games to spare.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game,” He said, as reported by his club's official website.

“They’re the champions and deservedly so, they’ve been the best team this year by a mile.

“But they’re just like any other team – nothing is impossible.

"We need to prepare, listen to Carlos’ plans and try to apply them in the game.

“We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”

Ayew completed a move from West Ham United in January and has since become a key member of the team, but yet to find back of the net after seven topflight appearances.
