Squads & Team News

They managed to hold a much-fancied Sweden side to a 0-0 draw in a friendly match which was played in Cape Town two months ago.

Banyana, who are using the tournament as preparation for this year's Fifa Women's World Cup, will be looking to start their Group A campaign with a victory.

Group A encounters against European side Czech Republic and three-time Asian champions North Korea will then follow.

Banyana coach Desiree Ellis will be banking on Thembi Kgatlana, who has netted three goals in his last five matches for the national team.

Meanwhile, Finland are also looking to snap their three-match winless run across all competitions.

The Pearl Owls succumbed to a narrow 1-0 defeat to fellow European side Denmark away in their previous match two months ago.

They have never qualified for the Women's World Cup, but they managed to reach the semi-finals of the 2005 Uefa European Women' Championships.

Finland coach Anna Signeul will look to her key players Annika Kukkonen and Linda Sällström, who have more than 100 caps between them.
