Singapore will take on Bahrain, Turkmenistan and Chinese Taipei in Group E in the Final Round of the 2019 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup Qualifiers.

“We have been drawn against good teams in our group. At this stage, we are aware that there are no easy games and we will prepare ourselves accordingly," said caretaker coach V. Sundramoorthy.

"We are looking forward to the first match on 28 March, and will try our best to qualify for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.”

The national team progressed to the final round of qualifiers by finishing third in the previous round – behind Japan and Syria – despite some solid performances in the 0-0 draw against Japan at the Saitama Stadium, and a battling performance which ended in an unfortunate 0-1 loss away to Syria.

There are a total of 24 teams participating in this third and final round of qualifiers, divided into six groups of four teams.

The top two teams of each group will qualify for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, where they will join the 12 teams which have already qualified from the second round.
