Karela United FC captain Godfred Saka says he is delighted with their performance in debut campaign of Ghana Premier League after 13 games.
The Anyinase-based club have picked six wins, shared the spoils three times and have ended up as losers on four occasions.
They currently occupy third position with 23 points and boast of one of the best defensive records so far with only eight goals conceded.
“Our debut season has been a success so far and I'm highly impressed with my colleagues' performance," Saka told Onua FM.
"Although, we've lost some of our games and won others, one will admit that we've been excellent especially when you check our current position on the log. We're a new club and this is our debut season so we deserve all the praise coming our way.
"I believe our performance will improve especially in the second round of the season. We will try and double our efforts and pick as many points as we can to achieve our target," he added.
Karela will travel to Reb Bull Park in Sogakope on Wednesday to lock horns with Wafa for the first time in the top-flight.
