'Sad loss for football administration' - Nigerians mourn Taiwo Ogunjobi's demise

The seasoned football administrator, aged 65, was confirmed dead in the early hours of Monday after a brief illness

Nigerians have flooded social media to pay tribute to former NFF general secretary and the chairman of the Osun State Football Association Taiwo Ogunjobi who was confirmed dead in Ibadan on Monday morning.

Ogunjobi, a retired centre-back, turned out for Shooting Stars in the Nigerian league and also played for Nigeria in an Olympic qualifier against Morocco in 1984.

His death came as a shock to the Nigerian football community who have eulogised him for his role in the development and administration of football in the country.
