Omino: Western Stima will miss keeper 'Abawa'

Western Stima will be hoping to collect first points of the season this weekend when they face leaders Gor Mahia.

The power men had a false start; losing 3-1 to reinstated Sofapaka last weekend, a match that goalkeeper Samuel Odhiambo was sent off. Coach Henry Omino says it is a blow that the custodian will not start between the post during that match.

"Abawa' is a good goalkeeper and it is sad we will not have him against Gor Mahia. He is experienced and talented, but now that he is suspended, we will have to do without him. It is a good opportunity for others to prove that they are capable of handling the business in his absence," Omino told Goal.

Omino admitted that it will not be easy to beat K'Ogalo, who have won two league matches in a row. "It is a tough match, and as I said we have not yet hit the top gear but we will give it our best because our main aim is to bounce back to winning ways."

Gor Mahia have started the season well, winning the two opening matches against Kariobangi Sharks and Zoo Kericho.
