The Desert Scorpions’ striker has tasked his teammates to reproduce the magical moments of Wednesday again against the Solid Miners.

Gombe United's Austin Oladapo has charged his teammates to approach Sunday's league tie with Nasarawa United with the same spirits with which they beat Abia Warriors in their last home game.

The Umuahia side were in control of the match for most part of the encounter and even shot ahead through Yakub Hammed in the 62nd minute but their never say die spirit saw them comeback through Afolabi Abdulwaheed and Sani Abbani in the 79th and 85th minutes.

“It was a very great game against Abia Warriors. We didn’t start the game very well but we kept on believing in ourselves even when we were a goal down and it actually paid off at the end of the encounter because we won 2-1 eventually. We can achieve similar result in Lafia and even elsewhere if we remain very hard working and are working for one another,” Oladapo told Goal.

“Nasarawa United are a good side but I believe on a good day Gombe United can take on any team just like we have shown throughout the course of the season even though results have not been coming like we expected it. We need to keep working hard and trusting in God that we are going to escape relegation at the end of the season.”

Gombe United are 18th on the league table with 30 points from 26 games.
