Morgan Gould: I’ll definitely be at SuperSport United next season

The Matsatsantsa defender is undeterred despite a lack of game time at the club

Experienced defender Morgan Gould is confident of his stay at SuperSport United despite his apparent lack of game time.

The veteran, who has also starred for both Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport in a career which has spanned over a decade, appears to have fallen out of favour at the Tshwane-based outfit in recent times.

This has led many to speculate that his time might be up at SuperSport as the club looks to build for the future with Kaitano Tembo at the helm.

However, the 35-year-old South Africa international has refused to entertain the suggestion that he will be leaving SuperSport at the end of the season.

“Listen, the future is very bright,” Gould was quoted as saying by Daily Sun.

“I know I have a lot to contribute to the game. I also know I need to give back to the game because the game has given me life and hope. You mustn’t forget that I come from an underprivileged background,” he added.

“So, I’ll definitely be at the club next season, and even the season following that,” he said,

“SuperSport is my home and my home is where my heart is at,” Gould concluded.

Gould has featured in just 10 Premier Soccer League (PSL) outings for SuperSport this season with Tembo having preferred the likes of Clayton Daniel and Bongani Khumalo at the back in recent times.

Matsatsantsa are currently amongst the chasing pack as they battle for the league title.

SuperSport are currently five points off the top having conceded just 20 goals all season, not relying too much on the defensive star.
