The former Sundowns winger tells Goal that Downs will beat the Bucs when the two teams clash on Saturday afternoon

Mamelodi Sundowns legend Zane Moosa shared his thoughts on the PSL clash between his former side and Orlando Pirates.

Moosa, a fan favourite during his time with Sundowns, believes that the Brazilians are the team to beat and will only continue their winning ways when they take on the Buccaneers.

“On current form Sundowns will fancy their chances as they build on momentum. They have won their last three league matches and can string a run of games together,” Moosa told Goal.

The 48-year-old also warned against complacency with Pirates not being in the best of form. The Soweto giants may see Saturday’s encounter as a springboard towards their seasonal aspirations.

“It’s been a long while since Pirates last won a game and they (Pirates) might think it is the perfect time to beat Sundowns,” he said.

When asked about his impressions of Pitso Mosimane’s squad. The retired playmaker was full of admiration for the team and their style of play.

“They dominate games and they always look likely to score. They play good football, have good movement and the team spirit is high,” he added.

“They dominate possession like it happened against (Bloemfontein) Celtic. Celtic had their chances, but Sundowns scored.”

“They (Sundowns) have players like (Khama) Billiat, (Leornado) Castro and a number of match winners.”

“They are not static and they have a player, who can find other players in Kekana. They have a goodkeeper in (Wayne) Sandilands, you saw him against Celtic.

“Everyone is capable,” Moosa concluded.
