Montpellier duo Skhiri, Sio star in frustrating Dijon draw

Ellyes Skhiri and Giovanni Sio were on target as Montpellier were denied victory by a Wesley Said last-gasp effort to hand Dijon a 2-2 draw in Saturday's Ligue 1 encounter.

Said had the final say on the game that was, interestingly, the one to start the party with a 27th-minute curtain raiser to stun the home crowd.

After the restart, the hosts responded through goals from Skhiri and Sio in the 57th and 69th minutes to take the lead in the tie for the first time.

However, thoughts of getting a win in the league after four consecutive draws were blown after French sensation Said completed his brace at the death to earn the travelling Dijon side a share of the spoils.

While Skhiri and Sio - who scored his eighth league goal of the season - saw the entire duration of the tie, South Africa playmaker Keagan Dolly was afforded 63 minutes of action in his 11th appearance of the season. Papy Djilobodji featured from start to finish for the visitors.

Montpellier, now placed seventh in the log after garnering 42 points from 30 games, will take on Caen on April 1, after the international break.
