The Malaysian FA (FAM) has released the call-up list for the Malaysia national team's coming two matches, and the fans have finally received what they have been urging for.

Pahang's Mohamadou Sumareh, who earlier this year has been naturalised as a Malaysian citizen, has been called up by head coach Tan Cheng Hoe in preparation for Harimau Malaya 's friendly matches against Sri Lanka and Kyrgyz Republic, on October 12 and October 16 respectively.

The Gambian-born player, who had moved to Malaysia with his family, had received his Malaysian citizenship in July this year, making him eligible to represent Malaysia, but was given the miss by Tan when they played Fiji, Chinese Taipei and Cambodia, despite Sumareh having starred for the Elephants.

But now the 24-year old forward will be able to show what he's capable of for his adopted nation, when they play in the two coming friendlies later this month.

His selection has been welcomed with open arms by Pahang captain Matthew Davies, a foreign-born Malaysia international himself. Davies meanwhile will return to the national team fray, after he was not selected against Chinese Taipei and Cambodia.

Tan's charges will train in Melaka on October 8 and 9 before departing for Colombo on October 10 for the match against Sri Lanka. They will then return home to play Kyrgyz Republic at the Hang Jebat Stadium.

In November they will play in another friendly, against Maldives on November 3, before kicking off their 2018 AFF Championship campaign on November 8 against Cambodia.
