Mensah eyes Hertha Berlin scalp in Europa League

The defender has been an integral part of the Swedish side's success story in Europe this season and hopes they continue

Ghanaian and Ostersunds FK defender Samuel Mensah believes they must end their rollercoaster campaign in the Europa League group stage with a win over Hertha Berlin on Thursday.

The 28-year-old has been ever present in the club's defence, helping them to win one of the two tickets to the round of 32, following a 2-0 victory over Ukrainian side Zorya in Group J a fortnight ago.

“It has been a great and successful year for me and my team both in domestic league and in Europe League. Everything has gone on well for us,” Mensah told

“It has been a great campaign in the Europa League, especially since this is our first time of participating. We have already qualified for the knockout stage but I want us to end the year with a win in Germany before we even plan on who we'll meet in the next round,” he added.
