The former AFC Leopards custodian was in goal as the SportPesa select side went down 2-1 to the Tiger's development side. Matasi has also praised the team for playing as a unit and believes it will not be the same story next time.
"First I am happy to be part of the team that made history, it is an opportunity which many wanted but did not get. We played as a team, did everything together on the pitch but we were unfortunate. At least we had the youngsters, who showcased their talents,” Matasi told Goal.
"Next time when we play against them the result will be different, we have learnt, and now we will make it practical.”
Matasi will now focus his attention to the local league where he will turn out for his club, but will have to beat competition from Farouk Shikhalo and Martin Musalia.
