Midfielder Martin Imbalambala is among the six players released by Vihiga United ahead of the Kenyan Premier League mid-season transfer window.
The transfer window is set to open on June 1 and clubs are currently emptying the drawers ahead of the new window.
Imbalambala, who has been used sparingly this season, has been on the bad books of Vihiga for occasionally missing training sessions.
Others who were shown the door include Jacob Atinda, Victor Ayugi, William Oricho, Dennis Lugalia and Wycliffe Kabaji.
“We would like to wish them well in their future careers. We thank the sponsors and fans for their continued support,” the club said in a statement.
Vihiga, who lost their last league match to Thika United, will be up against Ulinzi Stars on June 6th.
