Nasri's West Ham move in doubt

Samir Nasri's move to West Ham has been thrown into doubt over converns over the midfielder's fitness, reports the Mirror.

Nasri looked set to reunite with his former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini in a heavily incentivized contract once his ban for doping finished at the end of December.

However the Hammers are concerned about being weighed down by another highly paid player who is a fitness question, with Andy Carroll, Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko already sidelined. 

De Ligt to Barcelona? Koeman says yes

Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman understands Matthijs de Ligt's frustrations with life in the Eredivisie after the Ajax defender hit out at the league's level of competition.

De Ligt has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and his national boss believes the move would be a good one.

"I think it's clear that a player like Matthijs de Ligt in a certain moment decides to make a step to a bigger league, to another level," Koeman said.

The 33-year-old defender is the club's longest serving player, but his current deal expires at the end of the season.
