Goodbye for now!

An eventful night of friendlies, mostly so for England who will now have to sweat out an injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

France, meanwhile, head to the Euros in good form, while Germany and the Netherlands still have some work to do.

Until next time!

Saka: The biggest moment of my career so far

Bukayo Saka had quite a season with Arsenal, but he says Wednesday was the best day of his career so far.

The Gunners starlet scored his first England goal, leading the way in a win over Austria.

"Probably the biggest moment of my career so far, the biggest moment was getting called up for England the first time and now to score the goal it sounds nice, it's an amazing feeling for me," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"You dream of that as a kid, scoring for your country, coming through the age groups with England so to now do it here and score for the seniors it's an amazing feeling and I hope I can have this feeling many more times.

"Every game is an opportunity to grow in confidence and chemistry with my team-mates so today is another step in the right direction.

"It's a big honour to be named in the final squad, grateful to Gareth [Southgate], happy that I get the opportunity to represent my country in a major tournament so I'm looking forward to it a lot."

Tournament favourites?

What a performance from France tonight... and they did it without Kante!

Low reflects on another poor result for Germany

Germany struggled yet again as Joachim Low marches towards his last tournament in charge, and the longtime coach says his team is still not a cohesive united.

"We didn't allow much at the back, but we made life a bit difficult for ourselves," he said. "We now have to have a few intensive sessions before the Latvia game, especially in the tactical area.

"The standard positions can be improved, defensively and offensively we still have to practise a few procedures. Some running routes weren't right, that's still the issue."

Grealish: I rang my mum right away!

Jack Grealish has revealed how he celebrated his England call-up.

"Unbelievable, something I will cherish forever," he told BBC. "I rang my mum straight away to tell her I'm number seven for the tournament.

"It was a massive moment, I'm going to grab it with both hands."

Benzema on his return

"Good, very good," Benzema told TF1 after making his first France start in six years. "I had very good feelings, with a good week of work. I'm getting stronger. It was a difficult season, with the repetition of the matches. I felt good, I went up in strength, and it bodes well for the future."

Keane compares Grealish to... Ronaldo?

Roy Keane was full of praise for Jack Grealish after England's win.

He said on ITV: "He is the star man, he makes things happen. He has courage and always wants the ball in tight areas. Like Cristiano Ronaldo at Portugal, you need players like that in your team. It is brave."

Deschamps: Benzema can save his goals for later

Karim Benzema's return to the France squad was ruined by a missed penalty, but Didier Deschamps isn't worried.

"Karim was unfortunate, but he was very present," the France boss told TF1. "A goal would have pleased him, and me too, but if he saves them for later... It was an important moment for him. Afterwards, he is part of a collective in relation to the way he plays. "

Southgate on Alexander-Arnold: It's not good

"We're going to have a look. It's not good to see him come off in the way he did," the England boss told ITV.

"We'll have to assess him over the next 24 hours. I think thigh but the medical team are assessing him. We'll have to see. It's not a good sign to see him have to walk off as he did. We'll know more in 24 to 48 hours."

Grealish: Alexander-Arnold injury did not look good

Following England's win, Jack Grealish confessed that he's concerned after seeing Trent Alexander-Arnold suffer an apparent injury.

"I am not sure what has happened,"he told ITV, "and it did not look good as he made his way off the pitch."

Grealish is only just coming back from an injury of his own, and the Aston Villa midfielder says he's starting to regain his fitness ahead of the Euros.

"It has been a great few days," he said, "Announced in the final squad was hard work for all the season and that was my aim. I have had an injury recently but to get 70 minutes under my belt is perfect.

"It was a bit of stress on my shin, a different type of injury but I am not concerned. I still need to keep on top of it and heel it after games that is why I had the ice one."

Awful news for Southgate and England as Alexander-Arnold has limped off with just minutes left in the Three Lions' friendly.

And a solid week for Saka as well!

Big week for Gilmour

Quite a week for Billy Gilmour who, after lifting the Champions League with Chelsea over the weekend, is on for his Scotland debut.

Late equalizer from Memphis!

The Lyon man is at it again as he has seemingly resued a draw for the Netherlands.

Second goal of the day for Memphis, who has the Dutch level with Scotland at 2-2.

Goal Germany!

A scrappy one for the Germans, but they'll take it!

Ball looped into the box nearly falls to Kimmich, who can't get it out from under his feet, but it falls to Neuhaus for what really was a simple finish. No chance for Schmeichel in goal and it's 1-0 to Germany just moments into the second half.

Halftime scores

Only three goals across five games as we head into halftime.

Goal Mbappe!

France are in the lead, and who else could have gotten them there?

Seven years later, Benzema's penalty struggles continue

And now Hummels misses!

Nearly a perfect return to international football for Mats Hummels, who follows the lead of Muller and Benzema by missing. Eventful starts for the returning stars.

It's all happening in France!

Penalty for France thanks to a handball from Neco Williams, who is sent off for the offense.

However, Karim Benzema steps up and misses from the spot as he's off to a sour start to his return with Les Bleus.

Lively start for England

A solid enough start for England, who have been in control against Austria. One of the standouts? Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been very noticeable through the game's first 25 minutes or so.

Chance for Muller!

Thomas Muller breaks free in the 13th minute but, fortunately for Denmark, his header is right at Kasper Schmeichel.

A long-awaited return

Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels are in the Germany lineup for the first time since Joachim Low controversially began excluding them from the national team in 2019.
