The Ivory Coast striker has joined the Kolkata-based club despite agreeing to a contract extension with Aizawl FC earlier.
Dodoz will miss the Mizoram Premier League (MPL) and will join the Mizoram-based club after being released by Mohammedan Sporting after the CFL or by September end.
Notably, the club had adopted the same procedure in the case of Manvir Singh during last year's CFL. The youngster joined Indian Super League (ISL) outfit FC Goa after competing in the CFL with Md. Sporting.
"I will be playing in the CFL this year for Mohammedan Sporting," said Dodoz. He represented Mohammedan Sporting once before in the 2016-17 season and also played for Chanmari FC and Peerless SC during his time in India.
Meanwhile, the Black Panthers are also negotiating with Nigerian forward Izu Azuka, who represented Jamshedpur FC in the ISL last season. The club is hopeful of landing the 29-year-old's signature before the CFL season that is expected to kick-off on 18 July.
With three being the maximum number of foreigners permitted for the CFL, Mohammedan Sporting have also signed Ivory Coast defender Lancine Toure from Langsning FC.
Among the local signings, the club has secured the services of players like Arup Debnath, Priyant Singh, Tanmay Ghosh while retaining the likes of Subham Roy, Kamran Farooque and Debasish Pradhan - all of whose contracts run till the end of the current CFL season.
"There is no football for our players for around five-to-six months between the CFL and the 2nd division I-League. So all the contracts are till the end of the CFL," a club official reasoned.
