Striker Ronald Okoth has quit Mathare United ahead of Kenyan Premier League resumption.

Okoth, who joined the 'Slum Boys' from Western Stima, confirmed on his official facebook page that he will not be part of the team in the second leg. "I have officially chosen to terminate my contract with Mathare Utd FC on a mutual agreement. It has been a real blessing being part of you guys through the highs and lows.

"I am grateful to the top management (Chairman and CEO), Coaching Staff & most importantly the playing unit led by the big man 'Wise' (George Owino) assisted by Danny (Daniel Mwaura). Thanks for the love and amazing time we all shared."

Okoth has also featured for Nairobi Stima and Congo United.
