Kenyan coach Sebastien Migne happy with another clean sheet after thrashing Ethiopia

Sebastien Migne was left in cloud nine after Kenya pulled off another top class display to hammer Ethiopia 3-0 on Sunday.

Goals from Michael Olunga, Erick Johanna and Victor Wanyama were enough to guide Harambee Stars to an emphatic win that kept alive their hopes of making it to the 2019 Afcon finals to be staged in Cameroon.

Speaking after the vital win, the Frenchman praised his charges for keeping a clean sheet and also took time to thank the fans for turning out in large numbers at Kasarani Stadium. “What makes me a happy man, is because we pulled off another clean sheet. We did that against Ghana and also against Malawi.

“I am also very proud and happy about my players because they played to my plans. We had trained to attack them from the word go, and immediately we took the lead, and then scored the second, the game was all over. We did a good link up between the defence and the striking force and that impressed me.”

Migne also maintained that Kenya are building a very strong team that will soon be a force to reckon within the African region. “The players have shown me that with preparations, we can get a better result and that is good news for Kenya as a country because we are building something interesting for the future.”

Kenya are now top of the Group with seven points ahead of Ethiopia (4), while Ghana has three points.
