Kehinde Adedipe: Rivers United suspend midfielder indefinitely
Nigeria Professional Football League side, Rivers United have announced an indefinite suspension for one of their midfielders Kehinde Adedipe.
In a statement on Tuesday, the club accused Adedipe of failing to report for preseason preparations ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
“Rivers United have placed attacking midfielder Kehinde Adedipe on indefinite suspension,” a part of the statement from the NPFL club read.
“This follows his Absence Without Official Leave (AWOL).
“Adedipe’s whereabouts remain unknown following the club’s official resumption ahead of the 2019/2020 season.”

General Manager of Rivers United Okey Kpalukwu reiterated the club’s stance on indiscipline adding the club will have zero-tolerance on any act that could derail them from a successful outing in the coming season.
The 2019/20 NPFL season will officially start on Sunday, September 22.
Rivers United needed a win in their final home game against Bendel Insurance to beat the drop in the last abridged NPFL season.
The Pride of Rivers, however, had a good Cup run as they made it to the semi-final of the 2019 Federation Cup before they were stopped by Niger Tornadoes who beat them 2-1 at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
