League champions Gor Mahia will represent Kenya in the top tier, Caf Champions League

Kariobangi Sharks head coach William Muluya has brushed speculations linking the team with big-name signings following the team’s qualification into the next edition of the Caf Confederation Cup.

Sharks grabbed a ticket to represent the country at the continental stage, for the very first time after two attempts following their Sunday’s victory over Sofapaka in the Shield Cup finals.

Muluya now says he has faith in his current squad, adding that they will fight to ensure the team performs well in the second tier Caf competition.

"I have a young and talented squad that has continued to develop under difficult circumstances. They have fought to ensure the team has won the Shield, and that it has qualified for the continental competition. I believe they will give their best to progress.

"Winning the competition is a motivation for us, the team at large and that will make everyone give the best."

It is the first trophy Sharks have managed to win since their promotion to the top tier. League champions Gor Mahia will represent Kenya in the top tier, Caf Champions League.
