Kariobangi Sharks goalkeeper John Oyemba is expected to sit out for the remainder of the season as he continues with rehabilitation.
The promising custodian, who earned his senior national team call-up in March against Comoros, is nursing a back problem.
Even though Oyemba was in training ahead of Sharks’ trip to Mumias, where they are expected to tackle Kakamega Homeboyz, Goal now understands that the player will not be in William Muluya's plans until next season.
“I am continuing with rehabilitation, but training at the same time just to strengthen my back,” Oyemba revealed to Goal.
Oyemba last featured for Sharks in a game against Posta Rangers. Gad Mathews is expected to provide a good cover as Sharks hunt for their sixth win of the month.
Sharks have so far surpassed the team’s total tally of 42 league goals by two following a victory over Wazito FC last time out.
