Jade Boho beats Asisat Oshoala, Yiyi to Liga Iberdrola Player of the Week award

Logrono forward Jade Boho has been voted Spain's Liga Iberdrola Women's League Player of the Week 24.

The 32-year-old's 92nd minute strike in her side's 2-1 win over Madrid moved Logrono out of relegation waters.

The Equatorial Guinea international beat off challenges from Real Betis's Yiyi and Barcelona's Asisat Oshoala to claim the individual accolade.

The award that was decided by the fans with Boho securing 976 votes followed by Yiyi with 532 and Oshoala with 294.

Boho's goal against Madrid on Saturday was her third goal in last four games and overall fourth in 23 outings this season.

It is the third time the former Atletico Madrid star is winning the award since launched in October 2015.

Also she is the third African to bag the coveted prize after Cote d'Ivoire's Ange Koko won twice and Nambia's Zenatha Coleman claimed once.

Boho will hope to celebrate her award with another brilliant form in Sunday’s Iberdrola clash with Sporting Huelva.
