Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente has said that he will reassess his future with the Spanish giants when the January transfer window comes around.
Llorente’s lack of game time has led to speculation that he may leave the Bernabeu this winter, but speaking after an impressive performance in Rome he suggested that things were not so certain .
He told Marca : “When the winter market arrives I will talk to the club and my family. I will decide from there what is best for me.
"My dream is to succeed at Real Madrid. It's clear that all footballers like to be playing. I am at Real Madrid and, I repeat, it's my dream to succeed here.”
Llorente was drafted into Solari’s side in the absence of the injured Casemiro, and shone as goals from Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez helped the European champions open up a three-point lead at the top of Group G.
Vazquez in particular was full of praise for his fellow academy graduate, who recorded a pass completion rate of 91.1 percent.
"Llorente has played a spectacular match," said Vazquez.
"It was not easy for this match, he had a lot of personality and a lot of enthusiasm. We have to be very happy with him.”
The win over Roma came in the aftermath of Madrid’s shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Eibar on Saturday, their first loss of the Solari era.
With confidence understandably fragile following a lacklustre start to the season, Llorente also emphasised the importance of following the weekend’s disappointment with a positive result.
He said: ”Today was an important match following the defeat in the league. This victory gives us a little breathing room.
“We wanted to top the group and we've achieved that.”
Real are next in action on Sunday, when they will play host to a Valencia side that lie just three points behind them in the Liga table.
